Leonardo Lizcano Serna is an experienced anthropologist and archaeologist currently working at the Instituto Distrital de Patrimonio Cultural since February 2023, focusing on the design and implementation of an archaeological management plan for Bogotá D.C. Previously, Leonardo served as the lead archaeologist at Geocol Consultores S.A. from May 2021 to March 2022, overseeing field and laboratory activities as well as public archaeology initiatives. From June 2017 to April 2021, Leonardo held two significant positions at the Instituto Colombiano de Antropología e Historia: evaluator of preventive archaeology projects and coordinator of the Observatory of Anthropology, Archaeology, and History, where responsibilities included project evaluation and data analysis for national archaeological initiatives. Leonardo holds a Master's degree in Anthropology with a specialization in Archaeology from Universidad de Los Andes and a Bachelor's degree from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
