Ana Cespedes

Ana Cespedes currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) since September 2018 and holds a board member position at argenx since December 2022. Additionally, Ana is a member of the Steering Committee for Instituto ProPatiens since September 2019. Previously, Ana held significant roles at Merck KGaA, including Senior Vice President of Global Marketing & Strategy and Global Head of Market Access and Pricing. With a strong background in corporate affairs, Ana has been recognized for pioneering integrated functions in Spain and driving strategic initiatives across various companies, including Merck Group and Serono Iberia. Ana's academic credentials include a Doctor of Pharmacy from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, various executive certificates in Strategy and Innovation, and a Master in General Management, along with corporate governance credentials from the NACD Directorship Certification program.
