Dereje Gudeta

Dereje Gudeta is an experienced iOS architect and developer currently employed at Instra.Ai since January 2022, where involvement in the Seeing AI project aims to assist the blind and low vision community by utilizing AI to describe the visual world. Prior to this role, Dereje served as an iOS App Developer at Nuance Communications (January 2020 - December 2021) working on the PowerConnect Mobile Clinician app for secure healthcare messaging, and as an iOS Mobile App Engineer at Walmart (June 2017 - December 2019), contributing to the comprehensive Walmart shopping app. Earlier experience includes roles as an iOS App Architect at Zaxby's Franchising LLC (May 2015 - June 2017) and an iOS Developer at ZINIO (June 2014 - May 2015). Dereje holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Chicago, completed in November 2010.
