Associate Consultant - School Leadership Coach at Instructional Empowerment

Lylia King has a wealth of experience in the field of education, with a focus on leadership coaching and improving school systems. Lylia'smost recent position was as an Associate Consultant - School Leadership Coach at Instructional Empowerment, where they worked with school leadership teams to analyze student evidence and implement data-driven strategies to improve the school system. Prior to this, they held a similar role at Learning Sciences International.

Before their time at Learning Sciences International, Lylia worked as an Independent Contractor, providing leadership coaching to administrative teams and conducting needs assessments for campuses. Lylia also delivered staff development to campus faculties.

Lylia's experience in school leadership includes serving as an Elementary School Principal at Mansfield ISD, where they consistently achieved high academic performance indicators and implemented a continuous improvement process. Lylia also served as an Executive Director of Curriculum & Instruction at Cleburne ISD, where they guided curriculum and instruction and implemented district-wide professional learning communities.

Additionally, Lylia has experience in sales and product development, having worked as the Texas Regional Manager at Walch Education. Lylia initiated and conducted partnership meetings with school district leaders in Texas and collaborated with curriculum leaders to develop targeted programs for students and teachers.

Lylia's earlier experiences include serving as a School Principal at Whitney ISD and working as an Administrative Intern at Grand Prairie ISD.

Throughout their career, Lylia has consistently demonstrated a passion for improving education and empowering students to achieve grade level proficiency and upward mobility. Lylia has a strong background in data analysis and strategic planning, making their a valuable asset in the field of education.

Lylia King's education history starts with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in P.E. and English from Tarleton State University, which they completed from 1983 to 1986. Lylia then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Woman's University, which they completed from 1989 to 1998.

Lylia continued their education and earned 15 graduate hours in Educational Leadership from Lamar University in 1998. Finally, they obtained an Ed.D. (Doctor of Education) degree in Educational Leadership from Baylor University, which they completed from 1998 to 2002.
