Benjie Messinger-Barnes

Benjie Messinger-Barnes is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in technology integration, curriculum development, and customer success. Currently serving as a Global Solutions Engineer Specialist at Instructure since July 2023, Benjie has held multiple specialized roles focused on Canvas LMS and lifelong learning. Prior experience includes directing operations for Teachers Who Tutor in Los Angeles, where Benjie established the organization’s presence and managed various outreach efforts. Previously, Benjie served as Director of Education Technology and Teaching Innovation at Friends Seminary, where responsibilities expanded to overseeing online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Before that, Benjie held leadership roles in mathematics at Friends Seminary and Rutgers Preparatory School and has a solid background with various teaching positions. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from Wesleyan University and a Master of Education in Math Education from Rutgers University.
