Michael Schmid

Michael Schmid is the Founder & CEO of inStryde since January 2019, having previously worked at Techstars Startup Weekend as a Mentor in 2024. Prior to that, Michael was a Mentor at the Center for Creative Economy from 2023 to 2024. Michael also founded Techstars in 2022 and worked as a Lead R&D Engineer at ASSA ABLOY Group from November 2018 to March 2022. Michael has experience as an R&D Engineer at Collins Aerospace and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Human Engineering Research Laboratories. Michael holds a B.S. & M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
