Alejandro Delgado Alonso

Alejandro Delgado Alonso has a strong and varied work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Alejandro is currently serving as the Global Director of Portfolio Management & Business Development at Insud Pharma since January 2021. Prior to this, Alejandro was the Chief Executive Officer of Lifepharma SpA from April 2019 to January 2021.

Before their role at Lifepharma SpA, Alejandro held positions at Italfarmaco, where they served as the Vice President of Business Development & Exports from July 2016 to January 2021, and as the Deputy General Manager from January 2014 to July 2016.

Their earlier experiences include working at BioSerentia as the Director of the Private Sector from April 2013 to December 2013, as a Senior Manager at BioSerentia S.L. from October 2011 to April 2013, and as a Manager at BioSerentia S.L. from November 2008 to October 2011.

Additionally, Alejandro worked as the Operations Manager at Galchimia S.L. from May 2006 to November 2007, as a Project Manager for Product Line at Medichem from September 2005 to May 2006, and as a Group Leader at Villapharma Research S.L. from September 2004 to September 2005.

Their early career includes a role as a Visiting Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School-ICCB from June 2002 to September 2002.

Alejandro Delgado Alonso holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela. Alejandro also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from The Manchester Metropolitan University. Alejandro continued their education by pursuing a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela. Additionally, they completed a Master's degree in Environmental Health and Safety from Fundación Universidad Empresa. Furthermore, Alejandro pursued an International MBA at IE Business School.
