Peter Braid is currently the Chief Executive Officer at IBAC, representing insurance brokers in Canada. Prior to this, Peter held roles such as Head of Global Business Development at Athena Software, Member of Parliament for Kitchener-Waterloo, and Director of Operations at Sun Life Financial. Peter has a background in communications and policy, with experience in various sectors including marketing, technology, and government. Peter holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Toronto and has completed executive programs in governance and organizational success.
Insurance Brokers Association of Canada
The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is the national voice of property and casualty insurance brokers and an advocate for insurance consumers, representing their interests to the Government of Canada. IBAC also works to elevate the status of insurance brokers through professional development and by establishing improved standards of qualification and ethical practice. IBAC also maintains licensing courses and education programs for brokers.
