Alison Steele

Alison Steele is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in the insurance industry. Currently serving as Senior Communications Manager at the Insurance Bureau of Canada since January 2019, Alison previously held the position of Senior Manager, MarComms Services at Aviva Canada from September 2008 to January 2019. During a decade at Aviva, Alison managed a team of 16 direct reports and collaborated with freelancers and vendors to deliver a wide array of marketing communications services, including B2B and B2C communications, graphic and web design, instructional design, digital production, and event planning. Earlier career roles include Communications & Creative Services Manager at Intact Insurance and Communications Manager at ING Canada from 1999 to 2008. Alison holds a BA in Marketing and Modern Languages from the University of Strathclyde.
