Liam McGuinty has a diverse work experience across various industries and organizations. Liam began their career as an intern at the Office of the Leader of the Official Opposition in 2006. Liam then worked as a Legislative Assistant at the Parliament of Canada from 2008 to 2009, where they were involved in policy briefings and communications management. In 2010, Liam spent time as a Policy Intern at the City of Toronto, conducting research and drafting reports on public-private partnerships.

Moving forward, they joined the Ontario Chamber of Commerce in 2011 and served as a Policy Analyst, Senior Policy Analyst, and Manager of Policy & Government Relations. In these roles, they were responsible for policy development, research, and government relations, focusing on various areas such as tax, labour arbitration, and government transformation.

In 2016, Liam held a role as a Manager of Insights and Senior Consultant at Deloitte Canada's Future of Canada Centre. Later that year, they joined the Insurance Bureau of Canada as the Director of Government Relations, Ontario, and worked their way up to become the Executive Director of Strategy and Member Engagement. Liam then served as the Vice President of the Office of the President and currently holds the position of Vice President of Strategy, leading the organization's strategic and corporate planning process.
