Leonid Vernikov has over 20 years of experience in the software development and testing industry. In 1999, they began their career as a Senior QA Engineer at Fidelity Investments. In 2005, they moved on to become a Senior QA Engineer at Investors Bank & Trust, where they developed test plans/test cases in QC and wrote robust automation scripts using QTP and WinRunner. In 2006, they became a QA Automation Analyst at First Marblehead. In 2008, they joined Pearson as a Senior SQA Automation Engineer, where they created and extended automated test frameworks using QTP for regression/integration/smoke testing. Leonid also used Selenium IDE/RC for Agile testing of the Portal application. In 2010, they simultaneously worked as a BSA/Test Automation Lead at State Street and a Consultant at Sophelle. In 2013, they moved on to become a Software Engineer in Test II at NantHealth | NaviNet\u00ae, where they tested .NET applications in an agile environment using Robot framework/Python/Selenium libraries. In 2017, they began working as a Consultant - Automation developer/SDET at Split Limit Studios, where they tested the TruPay app using TestNG and JUnit, Web UI automation (using Selenium WebDriver), Web Services API testing or Rest/Soap (using REST-Assured) and wrote functional automation in Java. Leonid then moved on to become a QA Automation Engineer at InsurePay in 2021.

Leonid Vernikov completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UMass Boston between 1996 and 1999. Leonid then went on to earn their Master of Science in Software Engineering from Brandeis University between 2003 and 2006. In October 2020, they obtained a certification in Learning REST APIs from LinkedIn.
