Director Of Product Management at Insurity

Alok Kapartiwar has over 16 years of work experience in various roles in the technology and insurance industries. Alok started their career as a Software Engineer at General Electric in 2005 and then worked as a Systems Analyst at Accenture from 2006 to 2014. In these roles, they managed onshore and offshore deliverables, analyzed business systems and user data, and designed systems to meet business needs.

In 2014, Alok joined The Hartford as a Business Analyst & Technical Lead. Alok continued in this role until 2014. During this time, they were responsible for leading requirements elicitation sessions, documenting high-level and detailed requirements, and guiding the requirements gathering process.

Since then, Alok has been working at Insurity, where they held various positions. From 2014 to 2018, they served as a Senior Business Analyst, playing a key role in redesigning the user interface for clients and leading the requirements documentation effort. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of Lead Business Analyst, and from 2020 to 2022, they served as a Product Manager, defining and communicating the roadmap for Insurity's Policy Decision products.

Currently, Alok holds the position of Director of Product Management at Insurity. In this role, they set the product vision for the Policy Decision and Billing Decision products, leads a team of Agile Product Owners, and communicates the business vision to the ART team to drive strategic business outcomes and sales growth. Alok also focuses on improving the base product offering and transforming Insurity into a Product-led organization.

Alok Kapartiwar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering from VJTI, Mumbai. In addition, Alok has obtained various certifications throughout the years, including Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc., and AINS (Associate in General Insurance) from AICPCU in 2009. Alok has also completed several LinkedIn courses on topics such as bias confrontation, threat modeling, and OWASP Top 10.
