Melissa Collett

Melissa Collett serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Insurtech UK since September 2023, focusing on positioning the UK as a leader in insurance innovation while enhancing member opportunities and networks. In addition, Melissa holds roles as an External Member on the City of London Police Authority Board, an Advisory Board Member for Innovate UK's Next Generation Services, and previously served as the Professional Standards Director at the Chartered Insurance Institute. Melissa has a strong background in professional standards, consumer advocacy, and insurance, demonstrated by past positions as Director at Fairer Finance and Senior Ombudsman at the Financial Ombudsman Service. An Oxford graduate with a MA in Politics, Philosophy & Economics, Melissa has extensive experience in the legal and insurance sectors, including a foundational role as a Solicitor at Hogan Lovells.
