Qamar Abbas Sheikh

Qamar Abbas Sheikh currently serves as Operations and Maintenance Lead at INTECH Automation & Intelligence since October 2024. Prior to this role, Qamar held various positions at Avanceon Middle East & South Asia from October 2021 to October 2024, including Project Manager and Senior Design & Application Engineer, focusing on project management and development of PLC/DCS logics and SCADA systems. Qamar's earlier experience includes serving as Project Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) at ICI Pakistan Limited, where responsibilities involved engineering and design document reviews, and hands-on experience with Siemens PCS 7 and Allen-Bradley control systems. Leadership skills were demonstrated as Vice President of the SPIE GIKI Student Branch, coordinating activities and managing a team of over 60 members. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Sciences (Electronics) from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute and a PLC Training Course from the Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (PITAC).
