Nicholas (Mingyang) Yu has a diverse work experience. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Fine Jewelry Sales Professional and Professional Sales Representative at Tiffany & Co. In 2013, they were a Summer Intern at Schneider Electric, where they worked with the Marketing Team and prepared technology exhibitions in different cities in China. Nicholas (Mingyang) also learned and introduced advanced products in the industry during the exhibition to customers. From 2015 to 2019, they worked as a Sales Professional at Graff. In 2022, they will begin work as a Junior Data Scientist at Integra Credit and as a Teaching Assistant & Grader at Southern Methodist University. Additionally, from 2011 to 2015, they were an ARC Scholar, Computer Science Teaching Assistant, ECE ITP Robotic Exploration Teaching Assistant, and Summer Research Assistant at the Illinois Institute of Technology. During their time as a Summer Research Assistant, they improved the design and performance of power systems visualization software, analyzed and optimized existing software with improved data structure and algorithms, and resulted in a performance increase of up to 5X compared to the older version.
Nicholas (Mingyang) Yu is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science at Southern Methodist University. Prior to this, they obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
