Aaron Hiltgen

Aaron Hiltgen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the software development field. Aaron is currently working as a Senior Developer at Integrated Data Services, Inc. since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Sr. Software Engineer at Zappos Family of Companies from July 2021 to February 2023.

Aaron's experience includes a role as a Senior Programmer/Analyst Team Leader at Foundation for Educational Services from November 2017 to July 2021. Here, they developed a full-stack web application for a government FAFSA student application verification process, focusing on front-end user interfaces, JavaScript, and AngularJS.

Before that, Aaron worked as a Java Developer/Consultant at Persistent Sentinel, LLC from April 2020 to October 2020. Aaron updated legacy security monitoring software, modernized communication services, and designed a camera control interface using specific libraries.

Additionally, Aaron held a Mid-Level Software Engineer position at both CRI (March 2017 to November 2017) and Solidus Technical Solutions (January 2016 to March 2017). At CRI, they repurposed monitoring software for a security and surveillance company, while at Solidus Technical Solutions, they developed software as a subcontractor on the Leidos NIDS contract using Java, C++, JavaScript, and ADA.

Aaron also has experience as a Software Engineer at the United States Department of Defense from June 2012 to January 2016. Aaron directed contractor development for the Key Management Infrastructure program, using Agile software development methodology.

Furthermore, Aaron worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Nebraska at Omaha from May 2011 to January 2012, where they worked with instructors in the NUCIA program and assisted with class labs and grading papers.

Lastly, Aaron interned at the Army National Research Laboratory from June 2010 to August 2010 as part of the Sustaining Base Network Assurance Branch. Aaron co-developed a Security Readiness Review Script to automate the security configuration validation process for network devices.

Aaron Hiltgen completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics / Information Assurance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha between 1995 and 2011. In December 2015, they obtained the CISSP certification from (ISC)².
