Computational Chemistry Developer at Cresset

Qi Yuan has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. They started their career as an Operation Management Leadership Program Intern at GE Healthcare in 2013. In 2014, Qi Yuan worked at Imperial College London as a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher, conducting research in artificial intelligence for material discovery. They later became a Research Associate in the same field from 2018 to 2021. Qi Yuan also worked as a Data Science Consultant at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust in 2019, where they were involved in feature engineering for bio-medical image analysis and developed machine learning models for predicting and clustering lung disease progression using clinical records. Most recently, in 2021, Qi Yuan joined Cresset software and discovery as a Computational Chemistry Developer. They also had a short stint as a Scientific Programmer at EMBL in 2017.

Qi Yuan completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Chemistry at Imperial College London from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, Qi obtained a Master of Engineering in Applied Chemistry from Beihang University from 2011 to 2013. In terms of additional certifications, Qi obtained the following from Coursera: Deep Learning Specialization in May 2019, Managing Big Data with MySQL in May 2017, Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) in April 2017, and Using Databases with Python in April 2017.
