Yamil Reyes

Yamil Reyes is an accomplished Controls Engineer at IPS Custom Automation since February 2020, with previous experience as an Electrical / Mechanical Technician at Riviana Foods and a Maintenance Technician at BD. At Riviana Foods, Yamil contributed to significant reductions in plant downtime and provided training on new processes and safety for over 15 operators. As a Maintenance Technician at BD, Yamil played a key role in process improvements and acted as a Subject Matter Expert within the engineering department. Early career experiences include serving as a Machine Operator III / Mechanic at BD, where impactful design modifications led to substantial cost savings, and managing a team of electricians at Roalca Constructions LLC. Yamil holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Universidad del Turabo and an Associate's degree in Electrical, Electronic Technology from Huertas Junior College.
