Community Behavioral Health Worker/Chemical Dependency Counselor at Integrated Services for Behavioral Health

LeeAnn Brooks has worked in a variety of roles in the fields of behavioral health, education, and emergency services. LeeAnn began their career in 2007 as a Paramedic and Training Coordinator for Vinton County EMS. In 2010, they took a position as a 911 Dispatcher and Training Officer for Athens County Emergency Communications. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Paramedic for Portsmouth Emergency Ambulance Service. During this time, they also worked as a Caregiver for herself. In 2018, they began volunteering as a House Manager and Contract Consultant for Serenity Grove-Women for Recovery. In 2019, they took a position as a Case Manager for Health Recovery Services, Inc. and as a Peer Recovery Supporter for Hopewell Health Centers. In 2021, they began working as a Community Behavioral Health Worker and Chemical Dependency Counselor for Integrated Services for Behavioral Health, in addition to their role as an Adjunct Instructor at Ohio University.

LeeAnn Brooks LCDC II, PRS, EMT-P has an extensive education and certification history. LeeAnn began their education in 1995 at Southeast Ohio Paramedic Program and obtained their Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic certification from the Ohio Department of Public Safety in December 1996. In 2018, they attended Hocking College and earned dual Associate's degrees in Technical Studies in Addiction Counseling and Emergency Medical Services. That same year, they obtained their Certification as a Peer Recovery Supporter from the Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services. In 2019, they attended Ohio University and earned a Community Health Worker degree in Social Sciences. LeeAnn then attended the Athens County Foundation in 2020 to complete the Leadership Athens County program. In 2020, they began attending Franklin University and is currently working towards a Bachelor's of Science with a dual major in Public Administration and Social Sciences, which they are expected to complete in 2023. LeeAnn has also obtained additional certifications, including Human Resource Generalist from Franklin University in June 2022, Community Health Worker from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing in September 2021, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II from the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board in August 2021, and Peer Recovery Supporter from the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services in April 2021.
