Elizabeth Fagan

Director of Education & EMS at Integrative Emergency Services

Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Fagan serves as the Director of Education for IES and is the past President and Emergency Department Medical Director at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in McKinney, Texas. One of her proudest achievements has been to create and teach the High Reliability-High Risk/Low-Frequency Critical Procedures Course, which helps ensure IES physicians and advanced practice providers maintain competency in lifesaving procedures. As Director of IES’s BEST EMS, Dr. Fagan designed a comprehensive continuing education program for partner fire department personnel. Collaborating with the McKinney Fire Department, she helped create a fire-based community health paramedicine program that is now used by fire departments nationwide. In 2014, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement asked Dr. Fagan and the McKinney Community Health Paramedics to present a leadership lab on creating community health paramedicine programs. In 2018, in partnership with the McKinney ISD, they set a Guinness World Record by having more than 11,000 people pledge to learn CPR. Dr. Fagan graduated from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, and completed an Emergency Medicine Residency and Administrative Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida.
