Bob Leffler is currently the treasurer at Integrative Touch for Kids. Prior to their current position, Leffler worked for Henniges Automotive as the director of product development. Leffler was promoted to this position after a merger with GenCorp GDX.
At Henniges Automotive, Leffler was responsible for managing an engineering organization of 21 product engineers, 13 product designers, and 3 FEA engineers. Bob was also responsible for maintaining the technology roadmap and consolidating and managing Henniges' IP portfolio.
Leffler successfully led an innovation campaign to reduce product weight by more than 3 lbs. per vehicle. Bob also conducted strategic industry and competitor research and benchmarking, and led a cooperative development agreement to co-develop a proprietary extrusion process (Segmented Carrier).
In 2008, Leffler achieved a 30% cost reduction by implementing a CAD and FEA offshore partner. Bob also supported sales and marketing with customer presentations, voice of the customer surveys, and development of new customers through the promotion of Henniges' innovative products and processes.
Bob Leffler has a Master of Science in Industrial Technology - Training & Development from Illinois State University, a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Manufacturing Systems from Illinois State University, a Power Generation (52D) certification from the US Army, a Fundamental of Lean certification from the Lean Enterprise Institute, a PMP - THE PROJECT MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM – THE KERZNER APPROACH certification from Professional Development, and a Foundations of Leadership certification from the Center for Creative Leadership.
