Joyce A Smith

Joyce A Smith has had a long and varied career in Human Resources. Joyce A began their career in 1997 as a Programmer and Support at Software & Services of Louisiana, Inc. Joyce A then moved to Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc. in 2000 as an HR/Training Manager for the Northern Gulf States Division. Later that year, they began working as a Training Manager at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast. In 2003, they became a Consultant/Corporate Trainer at Training Logic, Inc. In 2007, they began working at Boomtown Casino & Hotel Bossier City as a Learning and Performance Manager. In 2011, they became a Human Resources Analyst III at the City of Shreveport. Finally, in 2013, they began their current role as a Risk Manager at Coushatta Casino Resort, where they are responsible for implementing strategies for effective management of overall resort employee relations, data metrics, and support interventions. Joyce A is also responsible for supervising resort risk-control efforts and developing dynamic associate relations support to managers and supervisors.

Joyce A Smith's education history includes obtaining a Strategic Human Resources Management Certification from Cornell University in 2010, studying JAVA at LSU Shreveport in 1999, and obtaining an Associate's Degree in Applied Business-Microcomputer Business Systems from Owens Community College between 1995 and 1997. Additionally, Smith has obtained certifications from John E. Reid & Associates, Inc. (2017), Disney Institute (2014), FEMA (2013), and eCornell (2009).
