Giovanni Scerra

Giovanni Scerra is the current Head of Application Architecture & Development at In­te­gri­DATA. Giovanni was previously the Technical Director - DSD Division at AFS Technologies Inc from December 2012 to April 2017. Giovanni is responsible for estimating, planning, development and technical documentation for applications in the following areas: Direct Store Delivery applications, Distributor Management System (Orders, Inventory, Sales, Account Receivable, etc.), Home delivery e-commerce and m-commerce (ASP.NET MVC, Web API, JQuery Mobile, Angular), GPS asset tracking (Bing Maps API, React, Web API), HTML5 mobile apps for home delivery customers (connected & disconnected mode), Warehouse Management data API & mobile client (NodeJS, Express, Tedious, Angular, Bootstrap, PouchDb), Translation tools (C#, MongoDb).

In addition to their work with specific applications, Giovanni is also responsible for Architecture/Framework Design & Implementation, Code reviewing for developers in USA and India, Training webinars for internal personnel on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Testability, DI and IOC, Software Design, Estimation best practices., Training and coaching interns, Pair programming with web developers in the NYC office, Technical requirements, documentation, analyses and designs, Technical presentations for customers, Interviewing candidates for technical positions and Personnel management (project tasks, yearly reviews, time sheets approval, PTO approval).

Giovanni Scerra pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Bologna in Italy.
