Kristin Smith Manwarren has extensive work experience in the legal field. Kristin began their career as a Policy and Rules Intern at the Federal Communications Commission in 1998. Kristin then joined Gray Cary (originally with Blumenfeld & Cohen) as an Associate in 1998 and worked there until 2002. From 2002 to 2008, they served as a Senior Attorney at Qwest Communications. In 2008, they became a Legal Counsel at Integrated Legal Solutions, where they worked until 2010. Kristin then joined IntelePeer, first as the Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs and later as the Chief Legal Officer.

Kristin Smith Manwarren attended Butler University from 1990 to 1994, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Telecommunications. Kristin continued their education at Indiana University School of Law from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree. Additionally, they hold a License to Practice Law from the State of Colorado Bar, obtained in 2003, and they are also licensed to practice law by the District of Columbia Bar.
