Hasmik Atoyan

Hasmik Atoyan has a diverse work experience in the field of user experience and human factors. Starting from 2003, Atoyan worked as a PhD and MSc Internship at Lockheed Martin Canada, where they evaluated and enhanced the user performance of a remote sensing application. Hasmik also developed human factor guidelines during this time. In 2008, Atoyan joined CAE Professional Services as a Human Factors Consultant, analyzing design requirements for shipboard operations rooms and conducting evaluations. Atoyan then moved on to work at Cognitive Group Inc as a Human Factors/Usability Consultant, where they were responsible for gathering business requirements and providing recommendations for system improvements. At InQAM Solutions, Atoyan served as the owner of the company. In 2012, Atoyan worked as a Usability/User Experience Consultant at Aeroplan and later joined Intelerad Medical Systems as a Senior UX Analyst and Designer, Team Lead, where they performed user observations, developed interactive mockups, and collaborated with various teams during product development. Throughout their career, Atoyan has shown expertise in user experience research and design, as well as human factors analysis and recommendations.

Hasmik Atoyan holds a Doctoral degree in Cognitive Ergonomics (Human Factors) from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, which they completed from 2006-2008. Prior to that, they earned a Masters degree in Cognitive Ergonomics (Human Factors) from Polytechnique Montréal from 2003-2006. Hasmik also has a Certificate in Applied Programming from Université de Montréal, completed in 2002-2003. Hasmik Atoyan also obtained a BSc and MSc in Physics from Yerevan State University, Armenia. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in areas such as PMC Level I from Pragmatic Institute in 2022, Mobile User Experience (UX) Design, UI Design Patterns for Successful Software, Membership Certificate, and Affordances: Designing Intuitive User Interfaces from The Interaction Design Foundation during various years.
