Kevin Montgomery has had a long and successful career in the tech industry. Kevin began their career in 1987 as a Software Engineer at Hewlett-Packard. In 1991, they moved to NASA Ames Research Center to serve as the Technical Director of the Biocomputation Center. In 1997, they transitioned to Stanford University as the Technical Director of the National Biocomputation Center. From 2005 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Researcher at Stanford University School of Medicine, an IPA/Special Assistant to the Director at TATRC, and an Associate Professor of Research at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center- Houston. In 2015, they founded Collaborate.org, and in 2017 they founded and became the CEO of IoT/AI, a company that is developing advanced sensor/edge computing/communications platforms. Additionally, in 1998 they founded eHuman.com, a company that produces educational DVDs and online courses/Atlases of human anatomy.

Kevin Montgomery earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Cognitive Psychology from the University of Delaware in 1988. Kevin then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, which they completed in 1997.
