Matt Carter

Matt Carter is an experienced leader in digital banking and technology, currently serving as Vice President of the Digital Engagement Platform at Intellect Design Arena Ltd since March 2025. Previously, Matt held the position of Director of Digital Banking at Central 1 from 2021 to February 2025, where responsibilities included managing retail digital banking products and leading cross-functional teams. Matt was also a Senior Manager at Meridian Credit Union from 2015 to 2020, contributing significantly to the launch of the digital-only bank, motusbank, and enhancing digital customer experiences. Past roles include Senior Manager of Payments at TD Canada Trust, Managing Director at Isobar, VP of E-Business at Citi, and co-founder of Sonic Boom Creative Media Inc. Matt's early career included teaching English in Japan through the JET Programme. Matt holds a B.A. (Hons.) from McMaster University and completed an executive program at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.
