Bernard Ong

Bernard Ong has extensive experience in policy and engagement, currently serving as Group Director at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) since November 2012. Prior roles include Asia Fellow and Teaching Fellow at Waseda University from 2009 to 2012, Head of International Relations & Industry Development at the Ministry of Education, Singapore from February 2007 to September 2009, Area Director for Southeast Asia & Oceania at the Singapore Economic Development Board from August 2005 to February 2007, and Group Leader for Northeast Asia at the Ministry of Defence of Singapore from November 2000 to August 2005. Bernard Ong holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Waseda University, a Master's degree from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the same institution. Additionally, Bernard Ong completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2022.
