Sally Alkass

Sally Alkass is a seasoned professional in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, currently serving as Senior Director and Head of External Manufacturing and Supply Chain at Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. since October 2021. Prior to this role, Sally worked at Gilead Sciences as Associate Director in External Manufacturing, leading key manufacturing partnerships with a substantial budget. A significant part of Sally's career was with Biogen, where multiple leadership positions were held, including Associate Director of Global External Manufacturing, overseeing strategies for clinical manufacturing across a diverse portfolio of programs. Sally's experience encompasses managing technology transfer teams, external manufacturing relationships, and operational budgets, coupled with a strong foundation in scientific processes through various roles that began as an Associate Scientist at Biogen and included teaching at San Diego State University. Sally holds a BA in Sociology from UC San Diego.
