Russ U. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of user experience design. Russ was the Chief Experience Officer at IntelliBridge since November 2018. Prior to that, they co-founded and served as an event producer for Chicago Camps, where they organized low-cost, high-value events for the User Experience Design industry. From 2003, Russ worked as an independent consultant, taking on roles as a user experience designer, researcher, speaker, and author. Russ also held the position of Experience Design Director at 18F, a digital services organization within the General Services Administration, from October 2014 to October 2018. Additionally, Russ served as an advisory board member for the Department of UX Design, Web Design, and Development at Harrington College of Design from May 2011 to August 2018. Russ was involved with GE Capital as an Experience Design Director and Senior UX Leader from July 2012 to October 2014. Russ U. also worked as a User Experience Director at Happy Cog from June 2010 to December 2011. As President of The Information Architecture Institute from October 2009 to September 2010, they managed events and marketing activities, including the 2009 IDEA Conference in Toronto. Previously, Russ held the role of Director of Experience Planning at Draftfcb from January 2009 to June 2010. Russ started their career as a Senior Information Architect and Senior Business Analyst on the Oprah.com redesign project at Harpo Productions from November 2006 to May 2007.
Russ U. attended Northern Illinois University from 1993 to 1997, where they focused on Public Speaking/Interpersonal Communications. Russ later enrolled at Trident University International in 2008, completing their studies in Business Administration in 2009.
