Andriana Aktypi has a diverse work experience in the scientific and biomedical fields. Andriana is currently working as a Scientific Associate at Intelligencia since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Lifecheck medical laboratories as a Molecular Biologist from September 2020 to November 2022.
Before joining Lifecheck medical laboratories, Andriana worked at the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens. From July 2018 to October 2019, they were involved in a Master Thesis Project under the guidance of Ema Anastasiadou. Andriana'sresearch project focused on the impact of Argonaute protein on cellular structure and function, specifically the implications of Ago2 overexpression. Andriana also worked as a Molecular Biologist at "Genomedica", a diagnostic laboratory for Molecular Genetics and Cytogenetics, from June 2019 to September 2019.
Andriana's work experience at the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens started in November 2014, where they worked as a Thesis Student and an Internship Project member in Ema Anastasiadou's laboratory. Andriana'sresearch project during this time involved the molecular and cellular study of thyroid cancer, with a focus on the prognostic marker 14-3-3σ. Andriana also conducted molecular and cellular analysis of thyroid cell lines and performed bioinformatic analysis of 14-3-3σ.
Andriana Aktypi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, having studied there from 2011 to 2017. Andriana then pursued a Master of Science degree in Applications of Biology in Medicine (in collaboration with the School of Health Sciences) from the same university, studying there from 2017 to 2019. Prior to their university education, they achieved an "Excellent mark" at the 7th Lyceum of Kallithea in Athens, although the specific duration of their study at this institution is unknown.
