Eirini Matthaiou

Eirini Matthaiou has extensive work experience in scientific and research roles. Eirini started their career as a Trainee in the Department of Medical Genetics and Assisted Reproduction at the University Hospital of Ioannina in 2016. Eirini then gained voluntary work experience at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMBB), Department of Biomedical Research from April 2017 to July 2017.

In 2017, Eirini joined The University of Edinburgh as a Research Technician, where they provided technical laboratory support and assisted with student training. During this time, they also conducted basic research in the field of tumour immunology for their MSc by Research Thesis, focusing on the effects of human macrophages on NK cell cytotoxicity.

In 2019, Eirini joined Charles River Laboratories as an Assistant Scientist in Immunobiology, where they participated in the design, conduct, and reporting of various projects within the department.

From 2021 to 2023, Eirini worked at Neoscreen Medical Ltd as an Associate Scientist. Eirini'sresponsibilities included being a Quality Manager Assistant for the implementation of ISO 15189:2012, and performing molecular analysis of genetic conditions and cancer biomarkers using various techniques and data analysis software.

Most recently, Eirini joined Intelligencia in 2023 as a Scientific Associate, although specific details about their role are not provided.

Eirini Matthaiou has a Bachelor's degree in Biological Applications and Technology from the University of Ioannina, which they obtained between 2012 and 2017. Eirini later pursued an MSc by Research in Reproductive Sciences at The University of Edinburgh from 2017 to 2018.
