Sofia Mastoraki, Ph.D.

Sofia Mastoraki, Ph.D. has a diverse work history in the scientific and medical research field. Sofia'smost recent position was as a Senior Scientific Associate at Intelligencia, which they began in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center from January 2019 to March 2023. Sofia also has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Analysis of Circulating Tumor Cells Laboratory (ACTC Lab) from October 2014 to December 2018. Sofia gained research experience as a Research Intern at Evangelismos Hospital from May 2013 to November 2013, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, School of Medicine from December 2011 to July 2012.

Sofia Mastoraki, Ph.D. obtained their education in the field of chemistry and oncology from reputable institutions. Sofia completed their undergraduate studies at Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, receiving a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Analytical Chemistry in 2012. Afterward, they pursued further education at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Clinical Chemistry in 2014. Sofia's passion for cancer research led their to continue their academic journey at the same university, completing their doctorate in Oncology and Cancer Biology in 2018, culminating in the attainment of a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree.
