Sivuyisiwe Mve has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and organizations. They started their career in 2015 as the Chairperson of Hector Peterson Residence at the University of the Western Cape. In 2017, they interned at the Faith and Politics Institute and TRUE Conversations, where they were involved in nonprofit work focused on ethical leadership and promoting understanding of stigmatized issues, respectively. Also in 2017, they participated in the South Africa-Washington International Program (SAWIP), a leadership development program.
In 2019, Sivuyisiwe joined Intelligent Debt Management as a Financial Consultant. They later advanced to the role of Senior Financial Consultant and became a registered debt management specialist in 2020. They have received recognition for their people skills and client centricity, including a nomination for a values award.
During the same year, they also interned at The Sustainability Institute, where they gained experience in sustainability and immersive learning. Additionally, they served as an Exam Invigilator at Stellenbosch University in 2019.
Throughout their various roles and experiences, Sivuyisiwe has demonstrated a commitment to service, leadership, and ethical values.
Sivuyisiwe Mve's educational history begins in 2009 when they attended Stirling High School, where they completed their secondary education. From 2014 to 2015, Sivuyisiwe Mve attended the University of the Western Cape and obtained a higher certificate in Economic Development with Cum laude honors. They continued their studies at the same university from 2014 to 2019, majoring in Public Administration & Management, although they did not complete a specific degree in this field. In 2019, Sivuyisiwe Mve enrolled at Stellenbosch University, where they pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Development from 2019 to 2020.
