Phil McMahon has a diverse work experience in the field of technical support and customer service. Following that, Phil pursued a Graduate Certificate in business information systems from Colorado State University College of Business, attending from 2014 to 2016. Phil went on to complete their Master's degree in Computer Information Systems from Colorado State University, where they studied from 2014 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Phil has acquired several certifications to enhance their skills. Phil obtained the certification "Master of Computer Information Systems" from Colorado State University College of Business in December 2021. In 2018, they earned certifications in "Big Data Foundations - Level 1" and "Hadoop Foundations - Level 1" from IBM. Furthermore, Phil became a "Fiery Certified Professional" through EFI in May 2020.
