Leonardo Saunders

Leonardo Saunders has extensive experience in microscopy and laboratory management, currently serving as Microscopist Manager at Intelligent Imaging Innovations (3i) since January 2020, where previous roles included Microscopist III and Technical Support Specialist II. Prior to this, Leonardo was a Professional Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from June 2018 to January 2020, and served as a Student Assistant at the University of Colorado Denver from June 2014 to June 2018, focusing on laboratory setup and 3D printing for physics experiments. Additional experience includes working as a Laboratory Technician in Chemistry at Red Rocks Community College (2011-2012) and as an Aircraft Loadmaster in the United States Air Force (2005-2011), overseeing flight operations and cargo management. Leonardo holds a degree in Physics with a focus on Biophysics from the University of Colorado Denver, earned between 2011 and 2014.
