Ben Hertzog has a diverse work experience in various roles within the healthcare industry and management consulting. Hertzog's earlier career includes serving as the Vice President of BCM Technologies at Baylor College of Medicine from 2002 to 2006 and working as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company from 1999 to 2002. Overall, Hertzog has extensive experience in leadership, entrepreneurship, and strategic management within the healthcare and consulting industries.

Ben Hertzog obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical) from Trinity University, from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Artificial Organs, Biomaterials and Cellular Technology from Brown University, from 1994 to 1999.
