Alex Plaetzer has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They most recently worked as a Software Engineer at Intellihealth starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at gitBabel from January 2021 to July 2022, initially as a Junior Full Stack Engineer and later as an Engineering Apprentice. At gitBabel, they were involved in updating the marketing site, developing reusable components, and building responsive layouts.
Before their software engineering roles, Alex was a Full Stack Development Student at DigitalCrafts from January 2020 to May 2020. They also have experience in coaching, having worked as an Assistant Swim Coach at The Village School from September 2018 to February 2020. In this role, they helped develop workout plans and achieved notable results at the TAPPS State Championship meet.
Prior to that, Alex had coaching experience at ENERGY CORE SWIMMING INC from October 2015 to December 2019, where they served as an Assistant Swim Coach and Lesson Program Director. They also worked as an Assistant Swim Coach at MED-CITY AQUATICS INC from April 2014 to October 2015. In both roles, they led practice sessions, facilitated dryland sessions, and achieved impressive results with their swimmers.
Alex's work experience also includes coaching positions at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. At UW-La Crosse, they worked as an Assistant Men's and Women's Swim Coach from October 2013 to March 2014, coaching practice sessions and managing recruiting databases. At UW-Eau Claire, they served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach from September 2012 to March 2013, where they provided technical feedback to swimmers and managed the team's social media presence.
Alex Plaetzer attended DigitalCrafts in 2020, where they pursued a degree in Full Stack Web Development. Prior to that, they graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Alex completed their high school education at John Marshall Senior High School between 2004 and 2008, earning an Honors Degree.
