Grant Kopec

Grant Kopec has a wealth of experience in the energy and engineering industries. From 2004 to 2006, they worked as a Research Engineer at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Grant then moved on to the Nuclear Power Lab, Inc. in 2006, where they held the same role. From 2008 to 2010, they worked at the Centre for Energy Studies as a Programme Manager and Researcher, managing a portfolio of collaborative research projects and researching the use of earth observation systems for environmental monitoring and compliance. From 2010 to 2015, they completed their PhD at the University of Cambridge and served as the Director of the Cambridge Energy Initiative. In 2015, they founded and became the CEO of Foreseer Ltd., a company focused on natural resource scarcity. From 2017 to the present, they have held various roles at IntelliSense.io, including Field Operations Director, Field Operations Lead, and Applied R&D Engineer.

Grant Kopec has a diverse educational background, beginning with a High School Diploma from Glenwood High School, which they earned between 1996 and 2000. Grant then attended the United States Air Force Academy, where they studied Mechanical Engineering from 2000 to 2002. Grant then transferred to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2004, and an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering in 2007. Grant then went on to the University of Cambridge, where they earned an M.Phil. in Technology Policy in 2008, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Engineering in 2015.
