Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Backend team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend software development, focusing on building and optimizing solutions that support a diverse range of applications and services. As a Mid level Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, stable, and scalable backend systems.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Backend System Development: Develop, and maintain modular backend components within a microservices architecture. The role involves crafting both synchronous and event-driven components that ensure robust and scalable backend.

• Infrastructure Implementation: Implement essential backend infrastructure components, such as dynamic configuration, service discovery, and system orchestration.

• API Development and Management: Develop and maintain APIs to ensure effective communication between services.

• Database and Data Management: Design and manage the backend data architecture, including database configuration and service management.

• Code Quality Assurance: Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of your customers and ensure backend system reliability.

• Security and Compliance: Develop and enforce security policies for backend infrastructure and applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in software engineering, specifically in backend development and solutions.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, and JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of API development and management, including designing and maintaining highly-available API endpoints (e.g., RESTful, GraphQL, gRPC) to support web applications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, including services and database management.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Strong understanding of system design, database schema design, and data modeling.

• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, unstructured startup environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with building scalable, high-reliability, or data-intensive backend systems.

• Exposure to both NoSQL and SQL database technologies such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora.

• Experience working with containers and container orchestration systems (Docker, ECS, EKS).

• Experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with modern authentication schemes such as OAuth, JWTs, or cookies.

• Experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, Graphite, Grafana, Prometheus).

• Experience managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments, contributing to rapid development and delivery-driven projects.
