Jean-Luc Froeliger

Senior Vice President, Space Systems at Intelsat

Jean-Luc Froeliger has over three decades of experience in the aerospace industry, significantly contributing to the satellite sector at Intelsat since October 1990. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Space Systems, Jean-Luc oversees space systems architecture, procurement, contract negotiation, and the management of the satellite fleet, including third-party satellites. Previous roles at Intelsat include Vice President of Space Systems Engineering and Operations, where responsibilities encompassed satellite design and in-orbit operations for over 50 satellites, and Vice President of Satellite Operations and Engineering, managing a team of 100 technical experts. Prior to Intelsat, Jean-Luc worked as an ADCS System Engineer at Astrium Ottobrunn and as a System Engineer at ALCATEL SPACE / THALES, with early experience as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the French Air Force Academy. Jean-Luc holds advanced degrees in Aeronautics and Space from prestigious institutions, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and ISAE-SUPAERO.
