Olga Gomez Garcia

Olga Gomez Garcia is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in sustainable tourism, economic development, and public finance. Currently serving as the Country Representative for the Inter-American Development Bank in El Salvador, Olga leads tourism sector initiatives across multiple Central American and Caribbean countries. Previous roles include Operations Lead Specialist in both the Tourism Sector and Development Effectiveness divisions, as well as Senior Operations Specialist and Country Coordinator. Olga has held significant positions with the UNWTO as Chief Spokesperson and Senior Consultant, and provided economic advice in the Spanish parliament. Olga’s impressive academic credentials include an MBA from Cornell University, an MBA from ESSEC Business School, and an ongoing PhD candidacy in Development Economics.
