Viviana Andrea Garay Estepa

Viviana Garay is an experienced executive in international finance and economics, currently serving as Alternate Executive Director at the Inter-American Development Bank since July 2021. Previously, Viviana held roles as Senior Consultant at The World Bank and Senior Advisor to the Executive Director. Other significant positions include Chief of Staff at the Central Bank of Paraguay and Economist at the International Monetary Fund. Viviana's career in finance began at the Central Bank of Paraguay as Head of Middle Office in the Reserve Management Department and as a Research Analyst at the Ministry of Finance. Academically, Viviana holds a Master of Arts in Economics and a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University's Maxwell School, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Universidad Nacional de Asunción.
