John Soini

Mr. Soini brings over 20 years of energy industry experience to the Heartland Petrochemical Project, most recently as Chief Operating Officer at NorthRiver Midstream. Prior to joining NorthRiver, Mr. Soini led the Canadian Gas Operations Division of TC Energy where he was accountable for overall operations within the country. His previous experience includes roles as Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, Finance, and Commercial Services at Bruce Power, and as President of Energy East, a TC Energy subsidiary. He also led the development and safe installation of facilities, pipeline, and power infrastructure projects within TC Energy’s Natural Gas, Liquids, and Power Divisions (including Bruce Power) in Canada and the United States. Mr. Soini holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, with distinction, from the Haskayne School of Business. He is a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, a Red Seal certified Millwright, and a Fourth Class Power Engineer.
