Heather Ricks

Heather Ricks has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Heather began their career in 2001 as a Manager at Houston's Restaurant, where they managed staff, handled budgets, and trained hospitality personnel. In 2002, they worked as a Patient Consultant at The Lasik Vision Institute, where they educated potential patients on the benefits and risks of lasik eye surgery. Heather then joined TGI Fridays in 2003 as an Assistant General Manager, where they achieved significant improvements in staff numbers. From 2004 to 2014, they worked at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson as an Institutional Specialist, responsible for gaining pharmacy access and developing pull through strategies. In 2014, they joined Salix Pharmaceuticals as a Territory Manager, building relationships with physicians and promoting product benefits. In 2016, Heather moved to AstraZeneca as a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist, before joining Intercept Pharmaceuticals in 2018. At Intercept Pharmaceuticals, they held multiple roles, including Senior Territory Business Manager, Region Access Manager, and currently serves as Region Business Director.

Heather Ricks attended Florida State University - College of Business from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Administration/Management.
