Richard West has extensive work experience in various roles within different companies. Richard started their career at BAE Systems in 2004 as the Head of Organisational and e-learning, where they established the organizational learning strategy and led the development of advanced web-based e-learning tools. Richard then became the Head of Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration, responsible for developing a knowledge sharing capability and implementing an organizational learning framework.
Richard later took on the role of Global Crisis Management Project Director, where they successfully delivered a project to mature the company's crisis management governance and assurance approach. Richard also served as the HR Transformation Programme Director, leading a £37 million program to implement the HR strategy across 12 business groups.
In 2014, Richard became the Global Security Transformation Director at BAE Systems, overseeing a £12.5 million global security transformation program. Richard was then promoted to Head of Programme - Air Sector Integration, leading the integration of BAE Systems' international air sector and creating a multi-billion-pound business.
In 2019, Richard joined Intercity Technology Ltd as the Projects and Operations Director, before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer in January 2020. In this role, they transformed the company's product, PMO, operations, and customer service, tripling project work in progress throughput and significantly improving the Net Promoter Score.

Richard West ChPP MAPM attended Sandy Upper School from 1992 to 1996, where they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Richard then went on to study at the University of Hertfordshire from 1993 to 1996, earning a 1st Class Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. In 2016, they briefly attended The Wharton School for advanced management studies.
