Carol McLaren

Carol McLaren has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Carol currently holds the position of Business Development Director - Luxury/MICE at InterContinental Sydney since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Account Director - Leisure at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney from September 2019 to November 2022, where they introduced luxury leisure markets and handled various market segments. Carol also served as a Senior Sales Manager at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts from June 2016 to September 2019.

Earlier in their career, Carol McLaren worked as a Manager, Sales at The Leading Hotels of the World from July 2009 to January 2016, developing strategic sales relationships and increasing business to member hotels worldwide. Carol was a Key Account Manager at Hilton Worldwide from April 2008 to July 2009, representing Hilton brands to the MICE and wholesale industry. Before that, they served as an Area Sales Manager at the Globus family of brands from August 2004 to April 2008, managing business in NSW South and the ACT.

Carol started their career in the travel industry as an Account Manager at Flight Centre Corporate Traveller in July 1997, and later worked at Flight Centre as well from May 1988 to June 1997. Throughout their career, Carol McLaren has demonstrated expertise in business development, account management, and strategic sales relationships.

Carol McLaren attended Our Ladies Secondary College but the start and end years are unknown. Carol later pursued a diploma in Travel & Tourism at Careers College in Brisbane.
