Mario Oliva

Mario Oliva has a long and diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Mario most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of Intercredit Bank N.A. since May 2023. Prior to that, they were the CEO and President of BanescoUSA from February 2020 to October 2021. Mario also held the position of Banesco America Corporate Director at Banesco America Corporation from May 2017 to January 2020.

Before joining Banesco, Mario worked at Santander Bank, N.A. where they served in various roles including Process Re-engineering/Operations Excellence Director, Director of Technology & Operations Risk and Finance, and Chief Credit Officer of Specialized Businesses.

Earlier in their career, Mario held executive positions at Banco de Venezuela - Grupo Santander, including Executive Vice President, Middle Market, Corporate and Global Banking, and Chief Credit Officer for Commercial, Middle Market and Corporate Banking. Mario also worked at Valores Santander, Casa de Bolsa - Santander Group as CEO of Valores Santander, Casa de Bolsa and Vice President of Corporate Finance.

Mario started their career at Mercantil Banco as a Senior Advisor to the CEO.

Mario Oliva's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from IESA in 1984, with a major in Finance. Mario also holds an Engineer's Degree from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, completed in the period between 1979 and 1984, with a major in Industrial Engineering and a specialization in Production. Mario completed their high school education with a major in Science at Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola, spanning from 1969 to 1979.
