Mikayla A.

Mikayla A. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Mikayla is currently working as the Georgia Director of Advocacy & Education Fellowship Coordinator for the Intercultural Development Research Association. Prior to this, they served as an Education Policy Fellow for the same organization. Mikayla also worked as a Policy & Research Analyst for the Urban League of Greater Atl. Additionally, Mikayla A. gained experience as a Measurement & Evaluation Intern at Families First, where they conducted program evaluation and performed outcome measurement and data collection. Mikayla served as a Policy & Advocacy Fellow at Leadership for Educational Equity and as a Secondary Mathematics Teacher and Policy Fellow at Atlanta Public Schools. Mikayla A. began their career as a Corps Member for Teach For America and as a Secondary Mathematics Teacher for Duval County Public Schools. Mikayla has also held positions such as Sales Lead for ANN INC and Community Manager at the University of South Florida.

Mikayla A. completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, General at the University of South Florida from 2012 to 2016. Mikayla then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Program Evaluation in Educational Environments at the University of Florida from 2020 to 2022. In addition to their degrees, they obtained certifications in Responsible Conduct of Research for Social and Behavioral Sciences from the CITI Program, a division of BRANY, in 2020, and Secondary Mathematics 6-12 from FTCE in March 2016.
