Gaëlle Martin-Cocher is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in multimedia coding and standards development. Currently serving as Senior Director of Multimedia Coding at InterDigital, Inc. since June 2020, Gaëlle also holds the position of Head of Delegation and Chair of the Canadian Mirror Committee to ISO/IEC - JTC1/SC29 (MPEG, JPEG) at the Standards Council of Canada since 2018. Prior to these roles, Gaëlle worked at BlackBerry from 2007 to June 2020 as Director of Standards, leading a team of experts in security and application while overseeing policy development and advocacy for intellectual property changes. Additional experience includes strategic business development roles in telecommunications at Streamezzo, Expway, Kinomai, and Artsum from 2001 to 2007. Gaëlle's educational background includes a Master's degree in digital network and technology of communication from Université Paris 8 and a Bachelor's degree in Acoustic, Sound, and Telecommunication from École nationale supérieure Louis Lumière.
